Planning a field trip to Jekyll Island? Bring your school group to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center!
The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is delighted to offer students the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of sea turtles through field trip programs. Field trip programs last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. These programs include an Educator-led program that includes a 30-40 minute interactive presentation, followed by a guided tour of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and the chance to meet the sea turtle patients!
The program fee per student is $7 for tax exempt organizations, $7.42 for non-tax exempt groups. Registered teachers and school personnel are admitted at no charge at the time of the visit. The program fee for parent chaperones is $8 per person. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center requires a minimum of 1 adult per 5 students for elementary students and 1 adult per 10 students for middle school and high school students. If you’re planning to attend as a parent chaperone, please make this a special visit with your child; do not bring siblings.
Reservations are required for school groups. Call early! The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a popular destination and reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. We offer Field Trip Programs Tuesday through Friday at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center requires a minimum of 10 students and group size is limited to 60 students.
The Georgia Sea Turtle Center can also come to your school through exciting new Outreach Programs.
