Calling All Girl Scouts

Uncategorized Add comments

Are your girl scouts looking for a fun, interesting way to spend some time together as a troop?
Are you interested in activities that could earn a badge?

Do you want to see sea turtles?

Then come to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and experience the brand new OVERNIGHT PROGRAM!

As an overnight guest of the sea turtle center you will get a personal tour of the center with education staff, and an introduction to the patients.

You will also have the opportunity to experience a specimen based program teaching you about sea turtle nesting habits.

Finally, you will have a spectacular night walk out on the beach while learning barrier island and beach ecology.

Before you leave you will do a service project to help the sea turtle center. Most importantly, you get to sleep in our gallery next to our youngest sea turtle!

All of the activities help to earn the Coastal Georgia badge!

Our program is best for girls between ages of 9-13. If you are interested in booking an overnight please contact the education department.

**Due to the fact that all of our turtles are at the hospital because they are sick or injured in some way, we cannot have the girls touch a turtle.**
